million blinds in the world. Among these 12-18% blinds are due to glaucoma. Our study was a double masked, randomized
comparison of 0.5% of 2-Beta blockers namely Timolol and Levobunolol. The patients selected for the study were recorded as
per the proforma and their intraocular pressures were recorded at the time of admission with the same Schiotz’s tonometer
using the same weight (5.5 gm) in akk the categories (all griyos). There is not much difference in reduction of IOP between
Timolol and Levobunolol group i.e. 10.12 in the timolol group and 10.2 in levobunolol group further is statistically not
significant at 5% of level of significance (P>0.05 not significant)
<Email>ramspsm@gmail.com</Email><articletype>Research</articletype><volume>6</volume><issue>1</issue><year>2016</year><keyword>Timolol,Levobunolol,IOP,Open angle Glaucoma</keyword><AUTHORS>Subramanya BK,Lakshmipathi BS</AUTHORS><afflication>Associate Professor,Department of Pharmacology, KIMS, Koppal, Karnataka, India,Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacology, KIMS, Koppal, Karnataka, India</afflication></Article></Articles>
