133COMPARISON OF EFFICACY OF THE TWO BETA BLOCKERS IN PRIMARY OPEN ANGLE GLAUCOMAThe world health organization has estimated that India has 1% prevalence of blindness, out of the total estimated 8-9 million blinds in the world. Among these 12-18% blinds are due to glaucoma. Our study was a double masked, randomized comparison of 0.5% of 2-Beta blockers namely Timolol and Levobunolol.The patients selected for the study were recorded as per the proforma and their intraocular pressures were recorded at the time of admission with the same Schiotz’s tonometer using the same weight (5.5 gm) in akk the categories (all griyos).
