<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><Articles><Article><id>146</id><JournalTitle>PATIENTâ€™S COMPLIANCE TOWARDS THE TWO BETA BLOCKERS (TIMOLOL V/S LEVOBUNOLOL) IN PRIMARY OPEN ANGLE GLAUCOMA PATIENTS</JournalTitle><Abstract>As a medical line of therapy, beta blockers are used topically prior to surgery and as a post-operative prophylactics.
IN POAG the goal of therapy is to lower intraocular pressure. The study comprises of 100 students of primary open angle
glaucoma and ocular hypertension selected from the clinic of this centre. The diagnosis was based on elevated intraocular
pressure (IOP), disc and fields changes in the presence of open angles on Gonioscopy. The study was conducted for a period
of 6 months. The lebobunolol and timolol had similar effects on heart rate with no significant difference amon the groups.
