In India, homeopathy
healthcare professionals are practicing medicine and prescribing allopathy drugs since very long time. If taken into
consideration the practicing years of homeopathy healthcare professionals, their contribution in ADR reporting seems
mandatory in the field of pharmacovigilance. Since adverse drug reactions (ADR) are a significant cause of morbidity and
mortality worldwide, inadequate awareness among homeopathy healthcare professional may be one of the cause of under
reporting of ADRâ€Ÿs. Therefore present study has been designed to assess Knowledge, attitude and practice of
pharmacovigilance among Homeopathy doctors attending modern pharmacology course at tertiary care teaching hospital,
Maharashtra. Objective: To assess Knowledge, attitude and practice of pharmacovigilance among Homeopathy doctors
attending modern pharmacology course at tertiary care teaching hospital, Maharashtra. Materials and Methods: The present
study is questionnaire-based study. A structured validated questionnaire was used to collect data after approval from
institutional ethic committee (IEC). Homeopathy healthcare professionals enrolled for modern pharmacology course were
included in the study. Data obtained were analysed using appropriate statistical analysis using MS excel .Results: All the 50
participants enrolled in the study responded to this questionnaire study.52% respondents have no knowledge of
pharmacovigilance. 60% respondents think that ADR should be reported. 74 % respondents think that reporting ADR is a
professional obligation.14% respondents have reported an ADR and 94% respondent did not know how to report an ADR.
Conclusion: This study demonstrate that the respondents have average knowledge towards pharmacovigilance and the
practice of ADR reporting is lacking among them. hence strengthening of such practice will help in future success of
