Pandemics load on the emergency department may take significant surge (specially in phase 3,4). During this phase overcrowding of department is common, if cases are not segregated properly it can lead to wide spread of the disease, which may risk health care workers also. Identification of infected cases through RT-PCR requires long time, so cases were segregated and admitted based on clinical features, HRCT and blood investigations. Results: Total 1830 cases were taken in the study 54% were out patient cases(only 50 % of op cases could be followed for RT PCR, RAPID ANTIGEN TEST). 45.6 % cases were admitted and followed, among which 5.7 % showed false positivity and 14 % showed false negativity. Conclusion:During pandemics effective front line triage system plays key role. Improve the management of cases, can limit the spread of infection within the ED, optimise ED resources and protect healthcare workers
<Email>vanjanipriya@gmail.com</Email><articletype>Research</articletype><volume>11</volume><issue>2</issue><year>2021</year><keyword>Emergency department,FRONT LINE Triage system,COVID-19,Corona virus,Emergency Medicine</keyword><AUTHORS>Dr.V.
