reducing emergence agitation (EA) among children undergoing strabismus surgery. Ninety-six children were enrolled,
receiving either dexmedetomidine or saline infusion. Dexmedetomidine administration led to significantly lower EA and
pediatric agitation scores compared to saline, suggesting its potential in mitigating postoperative agitation in pediatric patients
undergoing desflurane anesthesia.
<Email>Velagapudi@gmail.com</Email><articletype>Research</articletype><volume>12</volume><issue>2</issue><year>2022</year><keyword>Pediatric anesthesia, Desflurane anesthesia, Emergence agitation, Dexmedetomidine, Strabismus surgery</keyword><AUTHORS>Dr K Chaitanya Velagapudi</AUTHORS><afflication>Assistant Professor, Department of Anaesthesiology, Mamata Medical College Rotary nagar, Khammam, India.</afflication></Article></Articles>
