lymphomas, and leukemias. In general, these names are created by using different Latin prefixes that stand for the location
where the cancer began its unchecked growth. For example, the prefixes osteo. means bone, so a cancer arising in bone is
called an osteosarcoma. Similarly, the prefixes. adeno. means the gland, so a cancer of gland cells is called adenocarcinoma
for example, a breast adenocarcinoma. In 2007, cancer caused about 13%of all human deaths worldwide (7.9 million).
Cancer cells can experience uncontrolled growth if there are damage or mutation to DNA. The cancer may spread to more
distant parts of the body thorugh the lymphatic system or blood stream. There are 200 different known cancers that affect
humans. Many things are known to increase the risk of cancer, including tobacco, exposure of radiation, lack of physical
activity, obesity, environmental pollutants.
<Email>phtarunvij@gmail.com</Email><articletype>Review</articletype><volume>4</volume><issue>2</issue><year>2014</year><keyword>classification of disease, signs and symptoms, pathophysiology, chemotherapy of cancer</keyword><AUTHORS>Tarun Vij,Yash Prashar,Diksha jain</AUTHORS><afflication>Rayat Institute of Pharmacy, Railmajra, SBS Nagar, Punjab, India.,Rayat Institute of Pharmacy, Railmajra, SBS Nagar, Punjab, India.,Rayat Institute of Pharmacy, Railmajra, SBS Nagar, Punjab, India.</afflication></Article></Articles>
